SUMMARY:

Ag1 Farmers Co-op has proudly served the Upper Cumberland since 1947, supplying farm, lawn, and garden needs with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They seek a Sales and Marketing Manager to assist in sales, product sales reporting and evaluations, mar­keting promotions, and developing creative, digital marketing strategies and solutions. The ideal applicant will have experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, and other basic computer programs, keen attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Agriculture and project management experience is a plus!


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor or associate degree in Agriculture Business, Marketing, or related field 
  • One to two years of sales experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstration of an energetic, outgoing attitude in a workplace setting
  • Ability to communicate and lead a group of employees in a team setting
  • Ability to stay self-motivated, self-reliant, and able to work under limited supervision accurately
  • General knowledge of agriculture products and equipment


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Orders merchandise, supplies, and equipment and records delivery of said inventory
  • Prepares sales, margin, and inventory reports 
  • Helps track results of marketing efforts for use in reporting successes to management and as a sales tool for future customers Recommends additions to or deletions of merchandise to be sold in-store 
  • Maintains adequate but not excessive inventory by working closely with suppliers 
  • Inspects merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed 
  • Manages local social media networks and company website updates
  • Manages multiple projects while meeting deadlines and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Listens to customer complaints, examines returned merchandise, and resolves problems to promote good public relations 
  • Sells merchandise individually and assists other sales workers in completing complex sales 
  • Plans department layout, merchandise, and/or advertising display
  • Provides exceptional customer service to farmer members and other patrons of Ag1 Farmers Cooperative
