SUMMARY:

AgCentral is a progressive agriculture supply service and country lifestyle retailer based in southeast Tennessee. They are seeking a reliable and organized Farm Center Associate with a strong emphasis on customer service to join their team. This position will be responsible for working the front counter, answering phone calls, taking customer orders, processing transactions, and assisting with the operation of the feed mill scales. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service to the patrons of AgCentral Farmers Cooperative.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School / GED Diploma preferred
  • Customer service driven
  • Ability to multitask, keep good records, and well organized
  • Ability to work within a team setting
  • Ability to stay self-motivated


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answers phone calls, takes orders, and provides product information to customers
  • Greets customers and assists them with product selection, order placement, and delivery inquiries
  • Ensures a smooth customer experience by addressing concerns or directing issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Maintains and updates customer records, ensuring all order details are accurately recorded
  • Operates and maintains feed mill scales for weighing incoming raw material and outgoing finished products
  • Collaborates with feed mill production team to confirm product availability and ensure order fulfillment
  • Performs inventory checks as needed and assists with proper storage and warehousing of products
  • Helps with preparation of customer invoices and receipts
  • Ensures all feed orders are accurately entered into the system and provides periodic reports on customer orders and deliveries
  • Maintains a clean and organized front desk area and workspace
  • Adheres to all company policies and regulatory guidelines, particularly in relation to safety, quality control, and customer service
  • Provides outstanding customer service to the farmer members and patrons of AgCentral Farmers Co-op
