QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or communications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and social media scheduling tools.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms, such as Mailchimp, and content management systems.
- Creative mindset with the ability to produce compelling content, including blog posts and campaign visuals.
- Knowledge of the agricultural industry and the values of cooperatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Facebook Campaigns: Manage and execute paid marketing Facebook campaigns, including creating captions, scheduling campaign, creating target audience, and analyzing performance to engage our audience and drive awareness for the offerings.
- Planning and Scheduling Organic Social Media: Work closely with the team to develop and implement organic social media strategies for multiple brands that align with each group’s goals and resonate with their target audiences. Also, coordinate with team members and account representatives to schedule posts for organic social media across various platforms to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.
- Gathering Social Media Content: Travel to capture or source high-quality, relevant images and videos for social media campaigns and posts, ensuring they reflect our cooperative values and resonate with our community.
- Planning and Scheduling Email Blasts: Work to design and distribute email blasts that promote products, services, events, and community initiatives. This includes drafting copy, managing e-mail lists, ensuring design consistency, and analyzing engagement.
- Write Blogs and other content: Write, edit, and publish weekly blog posts that connect with our audience, offering valuable insights and promoting community engagement throughout the Co-op system. Also, be willing and able to join in on other writing and editing projects for publications like The Cooperator magazine.
