QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- CPA certification
- At least five years related accounting experience.
- Public accounting audit experience, preferred
- Ability to research state and local tax requirements and apply them appropriately
- Experience with application of ASC 842 lease accounting rules
- Experience with ERP systems and process automation
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with corporate tax preparation is a plus
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end and year-end closings for Regional Accounting clients
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits
- Implement and maintain internal controls
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
- Reconcile bank statements, clearing and variance accounts, prepare operating statements, balance sheets and margin analysis statements
- Responsibilities to post general ledger adjustments, accounts payable and accounts receivable adjustments
- Assists in maintaining and reconciling accurate general ledger and sub-ledger balances
- Make recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures
- Assists in performance evaluation, cost management, and asset management
- Responsible for providing outstanding customer service to all TFC employees, Member Cooperatives and outside contacts
- Must manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines
- Other accounting duties as assigned
