Dairy Promotion Committee to Meet on October 10

Attention all dairy farmers! Stay informed about the latest developments in the dairy industry by attending the Tennessee Dairy Promotion Committee’s upcoming public meeting. The meeting is scheduled for October 10, 2024, at 11 a.m. CDT, and will take place at the Putnam County Farm Bureau Office, located at 410 East Veterans Drive, Cookeville, TN 38501.

The agenda for the meeting includes:
  • Approval of the previous meeting’s minutes
  • A review of current initiatives
  • A report on the Wilson County – Tennessee State Fair
Additionally, a portion of the meeting will be set aside for public comment. Farmers and interested parties are encouraged to share their input, either verbally or in writing, on any issues up for discussion.

The Tennessee Dairy Promotion Committee consists of 11 members who are directly impacted by the assessments paid by dairy producers to promote milk and milk products. Committee membership is proportional to how milk is marketed, whether through agricultural dairy cooperatives or direct sales.
