Making Father’s Day Special

Jun 15, 2020

Father’s Day is coming up and there are so many ways to celebrate the dads in your life. They spend long days in the heat and in the cold to provide for us and our family farm, and they deserve to be celebrated! Here are some ideas on ways to make the men in your life feel special this weekend.

  1. Spend time with him
Celebrate Dad by doing something he enjoys – together as a family. Does he like to fish? Surprise him with the truck loaded with fishing poles and fresh bait. Does he have a favorite meal? Have the kids help you prepare a celebratory dinner featuring his favorite foods and time together. Time is precious, so consider it as a sweet and meaningful Father’s Day gift this year.

  1. Useful gifts
Most farm dads just work, work, work. They spend all day working on the farm, then come home and cut the grass, take out the trash, clean the gutters, and many other chores. Make their job a little easier with useful gifts! Think of what your dad needs. Is his chainsaw out of commission? Does his wheelbarrow always have a flat? Does he get dehydrated on the tractor all day? Buying him something that he needs may not seem like much of a gift, but if it makes his life easier, he’ll probably really appreciate it!

  1. Relaxing Gifts
We know he works hard and sometimes he needs to just come home and relax. How does your dad like to relax? Is he a fisherman? Does he like to sit by a fire? Does he have a comfortable place to sit on the porch? There’s lot of great gift options to enhance all of the ways your dad relaxes. This sweet gift will let your dad know you appreciate him and that he deserves to take a load off.

To all the hard-working farm Dads out there, thank you. We can never thank you enough for the hard work and love you give to your families, but we can use this Father’s Day as a chance to say “Dad, thank you, and I love you.” Happy Father’s Day.
